I always saw, I always said
If I were grown and free,
I'd have a gown of reddest red
As fine as you could see,
To wear out walking, sleek and slow,
Upon a Summer day,
And there'd be one to see me so
And flip the world away.
And he would be a gallant one,
With stars behind his eyes,
And hair like metal in the sun,
And lips too warm for lies.
I always saw us, gay and good,
High honored in the town.
Now I am grown to womanhood....
I have the silly gown.

Really pretty, moving lyrics, so much vulnerability.
I found this album back in 2018 and I loved it the first time I heard it. Now I’m going through relationship troubles and old insecurities are coming around to bite me. Music like this is what keeps me moving forward while I gather my strength to grow. So this time around I done went and got it to keep. Thank you Haley! avanteachina

Courtney has really delivered a gem in this record. This collection of songs feels tight and cohesive. Highlights for me are "How Quickly Your Heart Mends" and "Table For One". What has always struck me about Courtney's music is that the melodies sound like the lyrics feel; from the arrangements to the delivery, you won't be disappointed! David Johnson
